Biography

Frank Chen originally hails from Knoxville, TN. After graduating Duke University with an Undergraduate Degree in Economics in 2003, he received his degree from the University Of South Carolina School Of Law at Columbia in 2006. Upon graduating and passing the North Carolina Bar in 2006, Frank volunteered at the Wake County Public Defender’s Office, been on the Indigent Court-Appointed List, and also worked for a medium sized firm based in Orange County, NC. Court appearances include the following counties: Wake, Durham, Orange, Alamance, Caswell, Person, Chatham, Warren, Granville, Franklin, and Vance Counties. Frank has handled literally thousands of traffic tickets, criminal legal matters including DWI’s, drug/narcotics charges, larcenies, assaults, domestic violence, and injury to personal property/injury to real property cases.

Hans H. Huang

Biography

Hans H. Huang attended the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, originally fulfilling certain musical pursuits and ultimately attending Law School. After practicing in Charlotte with the litigation firm of Morris York Williams Surles & Barringer handling personal injury and workers’ compensation defense matters, Hans returned to the Triangle with Maupin Taylor in 2000, where he became a partner when it merged with the law firm of Williams Mullen. Primarily handling securities fraud, shareholder disputes, and breach of fiduciary duty claims, Hans was also asked to handle litigation in North Carolina for various national clients including Federated Mutual Insurance Company and United Technologies Corporation.

Leaving private practice, Hans joined several executive boards and teams for various companies. After joining Drs. Giles Shih and J.J Wang on the executive team for BioResource International, Inc., he negotiated and implemented international distribution agreements, transfer pricing strategies, shareholder buy-out agreements, real estate leasing, employment matters, day-to-day operational and legal support and assisted the company increase annual revenues and shareholder value. During his tenure with BioResource International, Inc. the company was recognized for its incredible growth and contribution as corporate and community leaders.

Since leaving BioResource International, Inc. Hans returned to private practice and eventually joined Frank Chen to form HH|CHEN to provide full legal services to their clients.

To date, he still sits on various management teams and advises clients from individual executives to technology companies in connection with long term and short term strategic planning, day-to-day operations, acquisition and growth objectives activities, supply chain management, international and domestic logistics, and other executive and legal support.
